CVMRR Club Activities Section

On this page, we will provide updates on current activities and archive photos and descriptions of past Club projects and events other than the Annual Upper Valley Model Railroad shows. Check back here often for updates.

Current Activities

• Planning and Constructing the semi-permanent N scale layout depicting the B&M from WRJ, VT to Canaan, NH.
• Finishing the last section and refurbishing the other parts of the portable N scale sectional layout depicting Crawford Notch, NH.
• Preparing and refurbishing the HO scale modules.
• Learning how to model trees using the Super Trees system from Scenic Express.

Ongoing Activities

• Supporting the local National Railway Historical Society Chapter's efforts to cosmetically restore the B&M 494 steam locomotive in WRJ, VT.
• Supporting the efforts of the Vermont Railway Museum to find a home for it's collection of historical railroadiana and photographs.
• Annual Glory Days of the Railroads Celebration in White River Junction, VT.
• Following the modern railroad industry activities in the region.

Past Activities

• Group trip on the special Green Mountain Flyer to Rutland.

• Acquiring and restoring a full size Plymouth Industrial diesel locomotive.
• Exploration of Crawford Notch for planning and designing N scale sectional layout.
