Local organizations and individuals have joined together to create a visionary and prosperous 21st Century for the Upper Valley through the development of a Railroad Campus in White River Junction, Vermont.

Serving as the umbrella organization, the Vermont Railroad Museum will lead the development effort to create and manage the Railroad Campus, and beginning in 1999, manage the Glory Days of the Railroad Festival.

Joining the Vermont Railroad Museum is the Riverfront Initiative for Viable Economic Redevelopment (R.I.V.E.R.) established in 1998 to maximize the value intrinsic in our area's history. In addition to the extensive volunteer efforts of model and historical railroad enthusiasts, the 494 Restoration Committee is using the latest in a series of grants to build a protective pavillion over the refurbished engine to create the focal point of the campus.

The time has come for this vision to take shape. The Vermont Railroad Museum needs you on board to create a Railroad Campus to preserve, celebrate, and revitalize railroading in White River Junction. Join us.
